What to Expect on Your First Visit

New Patients: First Appointment

Online Forms (Paperwork)

Before your new patient appointment we ask that you take the time to fill out our online form. The new patients paperwork provides us with important information about your health history and your current condition. At the end of the form, please read through our consent form and privacy policies, sign your name and hit "submit."

Consultation and Examination

At your first appointment you will have a consultation with the doctor to discuss your health history, your condition, your health goals, and answer any questions you have. After your consultation the doctor will perform a complete musculoskeletal examination including range of motion, pain assessment, weight distribution, postural assessment, blood pressure, digital foot scan, sEMG and digital X-rays.

New Patients: Second Appointment

Report of Findings

Once all the diagnostic assessments have been performed during your new patient appointment, the doctor will review your Report of Findings to answer these questions:

Can you help me?

What do you recommend that I do to get better?

How much is it going to cost?

After discussing your situation, including your health goals, and reviewing your x-rays and test findings, Dr. Todd will discuss his recommendations with you. He will also tell you if you have a condition that requires care from another provider. If Dr. Todd believes he can help you, he will recommend a course of treatment.

Treatment

New patients will generally receive their first chiropractic adjustment at the conclusion of their first visit at the doctor's discretion. This may include spinal adjustments, and other therapeutic modalities and exercises (see Services for details).

Before you leave, the doctor may make additional recommendations to support healing and strengthening. For example, if you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include ice or heat application, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as corrective exercises to be conducted at home.
